Maasai Honey supports hive of activity in Tanzania
April 22, 2019
With more than 2 million of its citizens practicing beekeeping, Tanzania has a long history with bees and honey. The Maasai Honey Fund, a donor-advised fund at KBFUS, supports beekeeping activities in Ololosokwan, a rural village on the eastern border of the Serengeti National Park. With its 100 hives in four apiaries, Maasai Honey empowers Maasai women like Mme. Nalari (pictured) through a sustainable, income generating project.
