Helping Armenians fleeing Nagorno-Karabakh

October 11, 2023

Following the resumption of fighting in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and the surrender of local authorities, more than 100 thousand ethnic Armenians living in this region in Azerbaijan have fled to Armenia. People in Need, a humanitarian organization established in 1992 in the Czech Republic, present in Armenia since 2003, responded promptly to provide humanitarian assistance immediately after the displacement from Nagorno-Karabakh started. PIN’s current emergency activities include the distribution of food, hygiene items, multipurpose vouchers, support of safe spaces for children, as well as other types of aid to displacement-affected populations. PIN is also working closely with a number of local organizations helping people displaced by the conflict. Support their emergency appeal.
