Emergency Relief for Communities Devastated by Flooding in Nepal
Severe flooding and landslides have brought widespread destruction to parts of Nepal, with some of the hardest-hit areas located near the Nepal-Tibet border. More than 350 people have lost their lives, and over 1,300 remain missing as rescue teams continue searching for survivors and assessing the full extent of the disaster. Entire communities have been affected as homes, roads, bridges, power facilities, and other essential infrastructure have been destroyed or severely damaged. Families have been displaced, and damage to transportation networks and communication systems has made it difficult for aid to reach those most in need.
In response, Myriad USA is activating its DisasterLink network to support trusted local organizations leading relief and recovery efforts on the ground. Donations made through this campaign will be directed to each organization’s dedicated fund and will help provide critical assistance, including shelter, food, clean water, medical care, and hygiene supplies for those affected.
Our current response partners are listed below, and we will continue to assess other organizations as the situation unfolds.
Sano Paila is a pioneer in community development, working alongside marginalized communities across Nepal to create lasting social, economic, health, and environmental change. Following the floods, Sano Paila is coordinating with government agencies and emergency responders to deliver food, clean water, hygiene supplies, medicines, and shelter materials. With many affected areas inaccessible by road, the organization is helping reach survivors with critical aid. Support their efforts here.
For more than 25 years, Group for Technical Assistance (GTA) has advanced public health and community resilience across Nepal and South Asia. In response to the floods, GTA is supporting search and rescue efforts, emergency medical care, temporary shelter, food and clean water distribution, hygiene supplies, and psychosocial support. The organization is also helping communities recover while strengthening preparedness for future disasters. Support their efforts here.
Nyaya Health Nepal (NHN) is a leader in expanding access to quality care in some of Nepal’s most remote and underserved communities. As flood-affected areas face disrupted health services and increased public health risks, NHN is working to assess urgent needs, restore essential care, protect vulnerable populations, and prevent disease outbreaks. Their efforts are helping communities recover while rebuilding critical connections to the healthcare system. Support their efforts here.
