ASEM deals with cyclone aftermath in Mozambique
May 3, 2019
After Cyclone Idai made landfall near Beira in central Mozambique on March 14, some 90% of the city of half a million people was destroyed. ASEM, a local nonprofit which provides education for vulnerable children, switched into emergency outreach. About 80% of the 6,000 children it serves have lost all their belongings. Support efforts to provide food and drinking water to the cyclone’s youngest survivors through the Friends of ASEM Foundation.
