Afrika Burns advances a culture of creativity

Founded in 2007 in South Africa, AfrikaBurn is the creative expression of participants who gather once a year in the Tankwa Karoo to create a temporary city of art, with theme camps, costumes, music and performance. The spectacle celebrates the principles of participation, inclusion, decommodification, self-expression, civic responsibility and leaving no trace.
