$227K to train African women in tech

Launched by a group of African women in tech, Kenya’s AkiraChix provides women and girls with 21st-century technology skills, enabling them to move out of the vicious cycle of low-wage employment. Its codeHive initiative provides holistic, hands-on training to increase the number of skilled women in tech and positively impact the community. The AkiraChix US Fund recently disbursed $227,332 to support codeHive.
